Meet Alan Dipert.
Alan sees shipping software as an opportunity to help people. In order to have the least boring bio, he also became a sumo wrestler.
In 1994, Alan copied his friend's QBASIC Game of Life implementation, changed the color of living cells to hot purple, and renamed the file ALAN.BAS. Since then, he's been an active contributor to many open source projects. Beyond open source, Alan is thrilled by the feeling of finding or creating the tool, whether it's software or process, that solves a problem and advances the species.
